I heard her speak. She is better than a regular GP but not as knowledgeable as my doctor, M. Teresa Swida, D.O. Also I'm not sure she takes insurance or at least she didn't take mine and she was quite expensive. I think she sells a package of sorts.

She is extremely knowledgeable and will explain anything you ask about. She knows about tests other doctor's don't and she has them covered by insurance. She is not in the office full time and it may be hard to get a call back. Here is her bio. but the contact info on it is outdated. She is on the border of Eagle Rock and Glendale right at the end of the Glendale Fwy. I started seeing her when I lived in Pasadena, but now I drive from the South Bay.  Looking in Long Beach - Try Sklar Center for Women's Wellness

This is a suggestion - not a recommendation, as I haven't personally gone to the Sklar Center, run by Dr. Susan Sklar.
Dr. Sklar was my gynecologist about 10 years ago, before she left "traditional" practice and started her own wellness center.
Her center does NOT take insurance. She mentioned this when we spoke casually a few years ago. Apparently most insurance companies do not pay for proactive, wellness based prescriptions.
Her website (http://www.sklarcenter.com/) is all about hormonal balance, and her Products includes Adrenal Supplements, so she could be a good source.
