I have seen, and heartily recommend Dr. Richard Ng from The Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, MI.

After he walks into the room and warmly greets you, Dr. Ng sits down and gets comfortable, giving you the feeling that he has all the time in the world to discuss your concerns. He explains things well, in layman's terms, so that you leave understanding the "why" behind the treatment plan he has recommended. There are many seminars offered at CHM on health and nutrition, and they sell many supplements on site so you can leave with everything you need. I am confident that you could see any of the three doctors at the Center for Holistic Medicine, and they would be knowledgeable about treating adrenal fatigue.

CHM does NOT accept insurance, but will give you an invoice that you can use to submit to your insurance and see if they will reimburse you. Lab tests ARE usually billed to insurance directly, since the lab is a separate entity. I don't remember how long it took to get in as a new patient, it seems like it may have been around 6 weeks or so.

 Great doctor

I agree, Dr Ng is very thorough and an awesome doctor. He expects you to do your homework and change your habits. He will not "solve your problems", but he sure will work with you to get you healthy!I will say, sometimes that takes more than 2 or 3 appointments. I drive 2 1/2 hours to see him, he is that good! Not many doctors as intelligent and honest as he is.

 Best Holistic MD you will ever find

Most comprehensive visit I have ever had!
I was on death's door prior to seeing Dr. Ng, I followed his instructions to the T and have improved immensely

Never had to buy a thing from them, Dr. Ng gives recommendations based on my blood results and I buy them ANYWHERE.
I am off all my prescription meds and I spend no more on Vitamins and Minerals than I did before, I just know what to get now.
The first office visit is more expensive but subsequent visits are reasonable (around $150) I go once a year or if I choose I could go twice a year.

 HORRIBLE PHONE COSTUMER SERVICE

I called for the first time to ask for information and an appointment.
The lady at the phone was very rude, I tried to do a couple questions and she just keep telling me "I need your attention" in a very bossy tone of voice. She did not listening my concerns and at the end she was just reading the policies about how they don't going to refund my money. I keep silence for a couple seconds and in that moment she hang up the phone to me... wow!!! I am wondering where is the holistic part in the costumer service I got really irritated and stress after that call.

 Watch your wallet

I went to Ng on a referral and at first he seemed to get my problems and seemed to show me an alternative to traditional medicine. But after a couple of months, I didn't seem to feel any better and it seemed as though he was constantly trying to sell me something that I needed to buy at his office. It was lmost like buying a car and getting the sell job for undercoating and other things I didn't need. In the long run, the whole concept was a waste of time and I wouldn't waste your time. If you do ... watch your wallet!! They will clean it out in no time!!
